Homemade collages in Dollar frames! These I created with magazines from travel. Inspired image cutouts clustered in corresponding colors and overlapped. Glue to a Paper or poster board cut to inside frame liner or glass size. I hung them together as a single piece I really like the impact of hanging like pieces.

Let it all hang out! No matter what season your décor should always be a reflection of you. A few extra X-mas decorations I love my trees purchased from a local crafter.030

Thrifty Tips
– Ignore the color if you love it!When hunting for an item if you like the shape and texture ignore the color as long as the surface is paintable. Shown here $20 Goodwill table totally sanded and repainted in black gloss.
– Save ca$h with spray paint. Spray painted curtain rod shown here with a Valspar hammered metal finish. Save ca$h!032
-Keep your eyes on clearance & mix textures and colors. My heavy winter curtains purchased at a Thrift shop. Those thermal drapes are so pricey. I purchased the lighter weight ones at super markdown at Target. When you see multiples grab them! I stick to various colors that all work together so I can interchange when I get stir crazy. I like Earth tones with soothing blue splashes.028 Try using accessories for a totally new purpose. Check out my wall art I turned into a cardholder. Rethink old items and give them new life in a new room with a new duty or color! Good luck I’d love to see your before and after or any imaginative uses you might want to share! 2012-09-14_20-30-24_364After removing seat from frame with screwdriver or drill. Start by pulling front and back and sides of new fabric taught. You can do it right over the old! Once you have your four staples in center of each edge through fabric you can work on corners. It is much easier to wrap the corners when using a fabric with a bit of stretch. Just don’t pull too snug on the first step! A stretchy upholstery fabric is best however this is my third redo so I tried a leather- like material to match my new wall color. If you try a more structured fabric simply tuck edges and overlap center fold as though you were wrapping a package. You would then double check the look on the front-side and staple the edge you would be taping on your package. Double check for any puckers and secure as needed then reattach to your seat frame. Old to New Modern Frames for the Man Cave
For high impact low budget here are some garage sale reloved frames. Spray paint is your inexpensive best friend when it comes to unifying items for drama. I love the hammered metal finish paints as they hide flaws in a single coat. I grabbed a mix of frames and chose black paint.

After removing the glass I numbered the frames and matching backing with glass to match later. After frames had been sprayed and fully dried. We chose the prints and pics to mesh with similar colors and genres. We chose to group them when hanging.
